FOREST AND NATURE AT KIDSATLAKE

It is important to us at KIDSatLAKE that the children are outside in the fresh air regularly. This is why we regularly undertake excursions. We have forest days and for the pre-kindergarten we have a nature play group once a week.

The significance of nature excursions for children:

  • Understanding of nature
  • Communication
  • Body experience
  • Sensory awareness
  • Appreciation for the forest and nature
  • Finding your way around traffic
  • Strengthening of self-confidence

In nature there is a lot one can discover, no matter if it’s by the lake, in a meadow or in the forest. All our locations are close to a number of excursion destinations which we visit regularly.

NATURE PLAY GROUP

Every child is unique and has individual strengths and interests. Our conceptual approach is based on the abilities and the respective character of the children.

CORE ELEMENTS OF THE PLAY GROUP

  • Immerse yourself in nature in any weather
  • Child-directed flow and experiential learning
  • Awakening curiosity and increasing creativity through free play
  • Introduction to nature education
  • Small groups

Every Friday in Zollikon and every Monday in Rüschlikon from 08:30 to 11.30 a.m., we have a bilingual nature play group for our pre-kindergarten children.
